Recently displayed at the 2011 Chicago Drum Show, this beautiful Sounds Like Art Dragon Snare turned a lot of heads. This model features a 14″x7″ maple shell finished in dark emerald green stain topped with a light brushing of gold. The protective clear coat is a semi-gloss satin lacquer, and black plated hardware rounds out this drum so it looks just as good as it sounds. The gold features a light metallic shimmer that accents the depth and detail of the wood carving, check it out:
A great example of our custom wrap abilities and unique hardware, this 14″x8″ Phattie delivers on all levels. The wrap is a custom glass glitter designed in-house. A blend of vintage style and modern printing abilities. The 4mm steel cold-rolled hoops are a great compliment to the wrap, a touch of vintage with the hoop profile and a dose of modern with the claw design. These hoops are available as an option on all Phatties from 8″ through 16″, and give a more open sound that regular 2.3mm hoops but with the durability and tuning range of die cast hoops. The last few weeks has been busy with pre-show prep work, packing, traveling, displaying, and everything else that goes along with attending the Chicago Drum Show. Happy to report that every bit of effort was well worth it! We split a large booth with Andy from Drummaker.com and had a beautiful display going on. The drums were loved, met a lot of great people, got to catch up with a lot of old friends, and in general had a great time and saw a lot of beautiful drums.
